The first spring green. Purslane.

I don’t even like purslane.  I think it tastes like grass clippings.  But a couple shoots of it came up in the cold frame, which is in the hoop house, which is in February!

So, purslane’s nothing to write home about.  But it was so amazing to me that something had sprouted in the dead of winter that I had to eat it.
