We went out for striped bass with our friend Allison, visiting from Brooklyn. We came home with one lousy bluefish, but it was enough for dinner. I marinated it in lemon juice, mayonnaise, and garlic, and Kevin grilled it. Allison and I raided the garden, and sauteed some green onions, peppers, garlic, and fresh tomatoes just until the tomatoes started to deflate.
It was a perfect combination, and a joy to sit down to a dinner of first-hand food with one of our very favorite people.
