Smoked trout and smoked bluefish in makeshift pasta

I’m trying to clean out the freezer, so I’m making dinners out of whatever it is I find.  This time, there was some slightly freezer-burned smoke trout, and a bit of smoked bluefish pasta sauce.  I added some fresh caramelized onions, a little vermouth and a little cream — oh, and some frozen shrimp — and it was better than it had any right to be.
