Doug and Dianne’s basil and tomatoes

Our friends Doug and Dianne are vacationing in Bordeaux, and have given us permission to raid their garden while they’re gone.  I got some lovely basil, and a few yellow cherry tomatoes.  I supplemented them with some of our tomatoes, and what I could salvage from an anemic cucumber, and made a macaroni salad with a basil dressing.  The recipe is from Epicurious, and it’s here if you’re interested, but I must say I found it a little lackluster.
